When did this child grow up to be a man, when did his knowledge try to understand?/ The reality of the world and the way that it works and the pull of gravity that’s dragging him beneath the dirt/ What does he do when these times get tough? When the weight of the world seems like its just too much?/ Does he give up retreat and just fade from the light or face his demons clenched fist/ Straight fight his way/ punch a hole through the night to day/Runaway not a option cause he’s here to stay/ everyday like the last one except the dates/ A regular guy with a regular fate/ but he better escape cause the weight is crushing /And nothing is helping his situation enough is enough when / Even his fam don’t understand or believe so I guess he may leave/ I’ll come back but till then see you later I’m gone/ I feel the need to be free but this freedom is wrong/ These days are too long and I can’t manage my mind / am I existing or living through the rhythm of time/ Cause I find that I’m trapped but the factors of life go to work through the day, go to sleep in the night/ In my life the only time decisions I make are from the TV guide that fuels my hate/ I sit and wait through the winter indoors dreaming of summer / Ignoring the cries of life and the ring of private numbers/ wonder if I’ll even survive on through the season/ I don’t feel I’m alive but my body is breathing/ I’m needing more than the mundane its all the same/ I need to change and maintain my time-frame/ my life’s aim/ Rearrange and tame the pain that consumes / and believe the claim that time heals or wounds/
